Electrical Magnetism - 07.04

This exhibit explains the principle of eletro magnetism. It illustrates how electricity is created, how it flows and influences its surroundings.

By moving a magnet fast through a coil, induction voltage is created. The electrical current in a coil generates a magnetic field around the coil.

  1. Move the handle, and see how the magnet moves through the coil.
  2. Observe how the movement of the magnet generates an electrical current and magnetic field- indicated by the lamp and the compass.
  3. Discover how the electrical cur-rent travels through the circuit and makes the bulb glow.
