Hydrogen and oxygen are used to power the biggest space rockets in the world. This is because they produce more energy per ton than any other fuel. This energy is produced by splitting water into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas, with the help form electricity. When the gasses are unlighted, they react and release so much energy that a rocket can be hurled into the sky.
