Why don’t polar bears have any problems walking in deep snow?
The Polar Bear, also known as white bear or northern bear or sea bear, is a large bear native to the Arctic. It is very well adapted to its habitat, with its white color as camouflage, its thick blubber and fur protecting it against the cold, and being able to hunt both on land as well as in the water.
Stiff hairs grow on the soles of its paws, insulating and providing traction on ice, making it easier for the animal to move around on the ice.
