This exhibit shows a plasma globe and explains how it works.
The Plasma Globe, or Inert Gas Discharge Tube, as Nikola Tesla (it’s inventor) first called it, is perhaps one of the most beautiful manifestations of plasma.
A plasma is “a hot, ionized gas”, and is made up of ions.
The sight is made up by travelling electrons, going from the electrode to the outer
surface and an oscillating electro-magnetic field.
