Galileo's Law - 02.11
In this exhibit visitors observe how Galileo’s law works.
Galileo was an Italian physicist, astronomer, and philosopher who is closely
associated with the scientific revolution.
According to Galileo’s law falling objects fall independently of their mass. This is in opposition to that of Aristotle’s’ teaching, which taught that heavy objects should fall faster than lighter ones, in direct proportion to weight.
- Turn the wheel and see the feather and metal ball fall.
- Push the vacuum button.
- Turn the wheel again, and see which object falls first.
